34th District Assembly "USHASI" was held on 11th June 2011 at Bhasha Bhaban Auditorium, National Library.In the inaugural session,  Arunima Gooptu was installed as the District Chairman for the year 2011-12 by outgoing District Chairman Sumita Roy. Arunima in her speech addressing 450 audience said that her thrust area would be 'Cancer Awareness', Keep Kolkata clean, Eradication of Polio etc. Dr.(Mrs)Amita Chatterjee, Vice Chancellor of the Presidency College was the Chief Guest for this programme. In the Business Session, all the clubs were awarded by outgoing Dist. Chairman Sumita. The event ended with the Jt.Installation of  12 Inner Wheel Clubs

The First Intercity Meet "AIKYA" - strength of women was held on 13th September '11 at Gyan Manch. This programme was hosted jointly by 20 Inner Wheel Clubs.

The programme comprised of the "Potryal of Women" in Satyajit Ray's film Charulata by Mr.S.V.Raman, President Cine Academy.He enlightened the audience with minute details of women characters that Satyajit Ray had depicted in his film. Ranging from from the upper middle class women in 19th century Kolkata, or the the lower middle class housewife in the 1960s. Ray's women characters always had a personality of her own. Through selected excerpts Sri Raman brought to us the unique style of Ray.

The mono acting of 'Hazar Churasir Ma' was performed by eminent professor Dr.Minakshi Sinha, a versatile actress, educationist and a singer. This programme was highly emotional and touched the audience to the core by her superb performance.
